Prey News

For:Xbox 360  Also On: PC Release Date: 13 July 2006

It's been a painful wait, but a demo of Prey is now available to download on Xbox Live Marketplace.

The demo was originally scheduled to hit marketplace on June 22, accompanying the PC demo, but Xbox 360 owners were left cursing their luck when it failed to materialise. The short wait is now over, as the demo has finally made its way to Xbox Live Marketplace. Sadly, if you live in Japan or Germany, there's no demo for you.

Developed by Human Head Studios in conjunction with 3D Realms, Prey makes use of the Doom 3 Engine to create an atmospheric alien environment. The PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game will arrive in North America on July 11, and a few days later in Europe on July 14.

As it happens, I've only just had a go with the Xbox 360 version, and the PC version with everything up high looks a lot nicer.

I just checked out the Prey Xbox 360 demo and it's similar to PC version but the PC version seems to be much more detailed and clearer than the Xbox 360 demo, odd.
