FIFA 13 has topped the UK All Prices video game chart, breaking through the one million units sold barrier to join an elite group of titles.

Only Activision’s Call of Duty Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2, and Modern Warfare 3 have ever achieved the same week one sales milestone.

EA must be thrilled with FIFA 13’s performance, with this year’s game up 27 per cent over FIFA 12. FIFA 13’s sales (71 per cent of all units sold) helped crush last week’s unit sales, with an increase of 196 per cent.

Elsewhere in the chart, the only other notable new entries inside the top 10 are World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria, entering at No. 4, and Ubisoft’s Rocksmith at No. 7.

Tecmo Koei’s Dead or Alive 5 only managed to reach No. 11, while Angry Birds Trilogy charted at No. 16.

Last week’s big seller, Borderlands 2, slipped to No. 2 with a fall of 60 per cent in sales, F1 2012 dropped 38 per cent and is now at No. 3, and PES 2013 is down at No. 5.

Aside from game sales, Sony’s new Super Slim PlayStation 3 saw sales of the console rise 138 per cent over week 38, with the new 500GB model accounting for 37 per cent of all PS3 console’s sold.
