PES 2010 graphics show big improvements
First screen features cover star Lionel Messi.
Konami has released the first in-game image of its upcoming football video game PES 2010, showing off the improved visuals on offer in this year's effort.
According to Konami the image is only work in progress, but it clearly looks much improved over PES 2009.
The publisher notes: "Crucial to the new game’s look are all-new dynamic lighting effects, where the position of the sun or the illumination from the floodlights is reflected in real time within the shadows cast both on the pitch, stadium, the ball and players."
Fans are told to expect the most vivid player recreations to date, complete with fully implemented facial expressions, individual skin textures and different weaves for the various kits to mimic the breathable material used.
Further details are promised in the coming weeks.

All they need to sort out now is player animations, player movements, player AI, goalkeepers, ball movement and get a few licensed teams.
Then it might be a decent game.
Can't see them fixing everything in time for the next edition. If Fifa refine and tweak 09 then PES will sadly continue to fall behind.
