Fifa 09 is sluggish and extremely frustrating to play. The goalkeepers are worse than ever, and when trying to dribble the ball's all over the place. Pro evo 2009 is much more fun to play than fifa 09. Granted pro evo doesn't have the polished look of fifa, neither does it have all the licenses but the gameplay is much more fluid. Fifa i might be great to look at but pro evo is the one to play. Just go to the shops, try them both out and decide for yourself. For me this year, its Pro Evo 2009. Reply

Anonymous	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post really wow... i dont belive it till i see it... as long i have been palying futbal no not on video games in real life.. i dont remember one of those gamess ball actually bein glued to my feet... i keep seeing that in fifa everytime i play... shoting in fifa suckss really bad.. u really dont have to be in the box everytime to score a goal.. i wonder how much did ea sports pay them beforee the review.. really talking about not having all the teams.. yea you know why cuz ea sports likes to monopolize everything out there.. for example madden 08 09 give me 2 main differences in those 2 games.. same way with fifa... u know i play fifa n pez 08 yea lots of problems but that was there first shot on the game on the new platform at least game play is still more relistic then in fifa 08 ... im still playing pez 08.. i had fifa at first beforee cuz i couldn't wait any more for the soccer game to come out for ps3.. so i bouth fifa played it for about month then pez 08 came out i been playing it ever since.. you know why cuz it more exciting the ball is free which means every game something new happens new gools new moves.. new passess ... how many gools yo have saved in fifa..?? one or twoo cuz every other goal is the same every far away shot its over goal... or not powerfull enough to score.. maybe if u play on rookie you might score a goal from out of box... soo yea im probably gona be playing pez 09 as soon as it comes out... n probably playing it till 10 comes out .. soo for this pre paid review nice job im still getting it.. u got to be full blooded europien to know bout that world champions league.. .. have fun playing your fifa .. cuz im gonna enjoy palying pez 09 Reply

It looks much better i agree but the gameplay is so slow and unrealistic, its like you control 11 robots. Pes did improve this year but not really radical. I don't care because pes was already a great game and it will stay this way. All arcade gamers go play fifa. The really footballers play Pes. Reply

I loved pes from number 2 yet ths year i have gone to the darkside that is fifa. and its brilliant! Its all the little details that improve so much on pes offering! the animations are superlative and the manager mode etc is sooooo much better tha pes. after 5 years of the same master leagu mode i am very bored quite frankly. I will be praying that they make a better game next year as even as I knock pes this year I must admit how addictive the demo was despite its flaws! I just wont spend my hard earned benjamins on what is frankly an insult and a dissapointment! Reply

Alot of the comments from this review are true. However I just don't get that same satisfaction, when scoring in FIFA as I do in PES. FIFA feels incredibly shallow, as if its there to just be looked at. It's a pretty picture, but where's the depth? On th other hand PES looks a little frayed round the edges, and rightly so, does not look like a next-gen game. Yet you (I) can't help to be become engrossed. Over time most games are less and less frequently played (new games come out, waiting for the next installment), with PES over time you find out more and more of what it has to offer. Many of you will not agree with my comments. Therefore I will leave you with one question. Why is it that most top professional footballers play PES over FIFA? I wonder! Reply

Or crap music and presentation? PES is a game that has always been king due to its realistic gameplay. I respect EA's attempts at making FIFA more realistic, and they have done a great job with recent FIFA titles. But bear in mind FIFA is attempting at becoming PES like. So how can FIFA be now a better football game than PES when EA are virtually trying to recreate PES's realism as a football sim. Yes FIFA 09 is well presented and boasts of superior online modes, but PES2009's still a better game interms of game play. My only disappointment so far is the laggy online performance, but I would rather play PES with its rich game play experience than a fully licensed FIFA. Reply

Andrei	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post ridiculous review. the gameplay is always the edge and the players reactions are getting more and more realistic. they trip on players' legs get a slight daze when hit by the ball, missing glorious chances etc. the ball physics are clearly out classing FIFA's and look at fifa 09 is just a lousy clone of PES. graphically and modelling FIFA surely are better and have smoother texture. even if you say they live in the past of ps2 it is still better than fifa 09 the feel and control of the game cannot be fake, you play it you will know it.
