why would you ever feel the need to play on Fifa, its shocking! PES in incredible! nothing gets close to pro evo! id never spend money on Fifa, had pro evo since in creation and even in the ISS soccer days still was miles better than Fifa!

PES is best! The graphics be much much better then last years game :)
Konami's chart-topping football series.

The game's due out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC-DVD, PS2, PSP and DS in the autumn, the publisher has said.

This year the focus is firmly on bolstering the series' next-gen credentials - with a new AI system called "Teamvision" spearheading that offensive.

Teamvision will enable opposing teams to learn and adapt to your tactics, rather than simply reacting in canned fashion. It's the ultimate riposte to players who work to expose weaknesses in the game's defending.

"With the new Teamvision AI system, we truly believe that we have elevated the game to a new level," says producer Shingo Takatsuka.

"The movement of players off the ball, coupled with the total control given to the player, creates the closest simulation of real football to date. We really hope everyone enjoys our evolution. I promise it will be worth the wait."

There's no mention of a "McClaren option" (you know, turning off adaptability), but Konami says the opposition's rate of response to your behaviour will depend on the players' quality.

That obviously ties in with the game's existing strengths - particularly the manner in which certain players are able to motivate their team-mates to respond in certain ways, holding a strong defensive line or sprinting forward when they gain possession.

Other changes hinted at include improved close control, while set-piece control will allow you to select the number of players in the defensive wall and their position. Expect more options on the offensive side there too.

And of course the game will make significant gains graphically as Konami strengthens its grip on the next generation of console formats. Advanced facial animations, shirt-pulling, sweat marks and perhaps Vaporub (who knows?) will be apparent.

Elsewhere, next-generation versions will get a proper Edit mode to make up for last year's disappointingly under-specced Xbox 360 release.

doesn't change the fact that the fifa gameplay is bull**** compared to the pro gameplay. Shoot from anywhere in fifa and it goes in, do a long ball over the top and youre automatically through 1on1, i dont even have to mention all the other bugs about it to argue that pro is a much better game. its less concerned about bumming off real kits and team names and more concerned about gameplay.

Real kits, badges, and licenses are fifa's only selling point.

Good times
If your that bothered about kits its easy to spend £5 on eBay to get a update option file with somone whos done all the work to make them right.

Then you get the looks of FIFA but the gameplay of Pro Evo...good times.

I have enjoyed all the Pro Evo games on PS form, but i felt PES6 was a step back in player movements. They were a bit cardboardy. Kits aint a bother, you never notice em when your sticking one in the top corner during the game. Just add player fluidity, sort the frikkin refs out and use all the power of the PS3 and Pro 2K8 will dominate winter gaming sales! Along with GTAIV.

And another thing... they need more leagues, im tired of being the same teams and they shood make the master league more manergieral, such as news and the press etc and make it so u can buy players in league mode

Cant wait for ProEvo2008 for PS3.Disappointing that not all the teams, like the Bundesliga are'nt in PES6 but im sure that was being saved for this years game.I also have always liked the idea of editing the football grounds as far as the goals being changed to resemble something more like the teams that play at that stadium.I would also like to have the option of when playing a cup competition of 32 teams,to be able to choose in the group league games whether to play 3 or 6 group games then knockout home and away from the start when setting up the competition. For the matches to be played at night would give the game a real Champions league feel to it.And last but not least for the new PS3 console lets have more teams like Red Star and Partizan Belgrade,Hadjuk Split,Dinamo Zagreb,Steaua and Dinamo Bucurest,Wisla Krakow,CSKA and Lokomotiv Moscow,Zenit St Petersburg,Austria and Rapid Wien,Basle,Grasshoppers...I think you get the picture! It would be amazing to be playing your games away in these stadiums to these teams and getting a result. With crowds chanting team songs, the tough weather conditions and intimidating atmosphere there would no chance of me being able to put this game down. Nice!!

pro evo good. recently played againsf inferior opposition. i say this because they were great at running with the ball and then shooting long range missles on target towards my goal. In turn i was ridiculed for playing the passing game(mostly down the wings) getting crossess and generally getting myself into positions where I am able to just pass the ball into the net. i hopoe the new pro is stronger in defense, selective in who can and cannot take successful long shots at go and alot more sharper and more responsive. To all the players who like to go on long runs from their own half- cut inside and then take 30 to 40 yard curlers PLEASE PUT THE GAME DOWN AND AND GO OVER TO THE DARKSIDE OR LEARN THE WAYS OF THE FORCE BEFORE THE NEXT EVO.
