We happened to think Need for Speed: Undercover was a pretty good game underneath all the technical shortcomings, so we're pleased to hear that a patch could be arriving within the next few weeks.

Kotaku reports that inside sources have revealed Black Box is working on a NFS: Undercover patch designed to address gameplay and performance issues as well as other improvements. The blog also notes that the patch should be finalised in a few weeks and that it will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

If true it's certainly good news for NFS fans.

Very good news. Nfs 12 was really good game but technical faults made it bad. Well, if this patch news is right then i think I'll have to play this game again

Not played it myself but watching my mate play it looks ok to be fair but not the best. People would ask more from EA as of Racer Driver: GRID and Forza 2 has pushed the driving games out more into the open as of providing great qunaity and quality.

^ I thought all that was still only rumours? Besides, they won't disband the development studio altogether, as it's also where Skate is made. They would just cut the numbers of staff.
