If you can't get hold of the Xbox 360 Need for Speed Carbon Collector's Edition in the shops, then you needn't miss out on all the extra goodies. EA has released the Collector's Edition Upgrade, which will update your normal version of the game to include all the bonus Collector's Edition content. For 800 points you get 12 new tracks, 6 new Challenge series missions and 10 exclusive cars! Amongst the new cars are the 92' Nissan 240 SX, 07' Jaguar XK, 06' Camaro Concept and the 06' Koenigsegg CCX!

The Collector's Edition Upgrade is actually a nice idea, and does add content to the game. However, EA is back to its usual tricks with a string of purchasable cheats for those of you too lazy to play the game. Here's a brief rundown:

Performance Drivetrain Bundle - 400 points
Push your car to the limit and beyond with the Drivetrain Bundle. This high-performance package gives you immediate access to all Street and Pro Packages for Engine and Transmission upgrades in the game.

Performance Engine Boost Bundle - 400 points
Need a little something to put you over the top? Get this explosive package of all the Street, Pro and Race packages for Nitrous and Turbo upgrades in the game to blow away the competition.

Performance Handling Bundle - 400 points
Scream around every turn with total precision with the Performance Handling Bundle, which immediately gives you access to all of the Street and Pro packages for Suspension parts, Brakes, and Tires in the game.

Ultimate Performance Bundle - 800 points
Don't leave anything to chance. Pick up the Ultimate Performance Bundle to immediately unlock every performance package in the game. That's right, every package in the Drivetrain, Booster, and Handling Bundle is yours for the taking.

Muscle Car Autosculpt Body Kit - 300 points
Shape your muscle car to your unique specifications by unlocking this Muscle Car Autosculpting kit. This kit includes 12 Autosculpting kits and allows you to sculpt front and rear bumpers, skirt, chop top, and hood.

Autosculpt Tuner Body Kit - 300 points
Shape your tuner car to your unique specifications by unlocking this Tuner Car Autosculpting kit. This kit includes 13 Autosculpting kits and allows you to sculpt front and rear bumpers, skirt, chop top, and hood.

Autosculpt Exotic Body Kit - 300 points
Shape your exotic car to your unique specifications by unlocking this Exotic Car Autosculpting kit. This kit includes 13 Autosculpting kits and allows you to sculpt front and rear bumpers, skirt, chop top, and hood.

For 80 points each you can also buy the 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago, and the 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10. To be clear, EA does state that many of the items available can be achieved without purchase by progressing through the Career mode.

Need for Speed Carbon is released across all formats on November 3.

I am not saying the game itself is crap, I am saying that spending $50 for what essentially cheat codes is crap. If you pay for all the 'xtras', NFS Carbon comes out to be almost $100! :D
