The game is great but i think we should be able to race each other like a spilt screen so people can race to the finish line that would be good on xboxlive and fath should have been traned her sis how to run like her
You should be able to create a character.have online and offline multiplayer.2 player story mode.longer story. more freerunning moves. And to be able to make a team of runners online.
I think a Mirror's Edge 2 would be great. It would be really cool if, since that Faith and Kate are now both criminals, if Faith trained Kate how to be a runner, and Project Icarus has to go somewhere, so maybe the next ME could be more Project Icarus orientated.
Also, it would be great if there was a 'free run' mode that you unlock when you complete the game, where you can just run and explore the city, with no S.W.A.T, no boundries, and no objectives. A multiplayer option would be really good aswell.Last edited on Wed 12 August 2009 by Kishiko
One thing that I found boring about that game was having to find a gun to use against enemies because without one you practically had no chance so one cool thing would be is if the main character (Faith) could have a hand gun or something to use against enemies
In the original concept of Faith, she did actually carry her own gun, but then the game became less combat-orientated, so they removed the gun, hence the achievement/trophy for not shooting an enemy throughout the whole game.
Having just finished the game recently, I loved it. First thing off I disagree with Judgemaster on the lighting and contrast issue. I never had problems with it once. The game looks exceptional, mainly because of it's particular style. What made the game for me are the little details, any game can be made to a big scale but having the right detail to give the game personality is what sets it apart. My favourite thing about this game, which I hope stays apparent in the 2nd, is the amount of symbolism. Things like the heroine's name (Faith), how the title of the game reflects the final high angle shot (end of game) at the top of The Shard and lastly the choice in colours of the city to show in the type of uniform society Faith lives in. I can understand D.I.C.E.'s position in having to pay attention to critics and fans but I really hope that in no way the negative critics comments cause them to fully re-haul the game. If they just expand on everything from the first game, I really think they would have one stellar game. The addition of open world sounds like a phenomenal idea, character creation would also be major plus. As long as the control scheme and maneuvers are the same with a few additions, I have no complaints. The only additions to the character I would expect are: It would be cool if Faith could do forward dives, allowing her to dive through or between certain holes/objects/fences. I heard roller blading mentioned, I think that sounds like a great idea. Parkour ("Free Running" to some) is already very extreme how much cooler would it be to have access to a pair of roller blades but only allow them to be used in certain missions. Last thing that really caught my interest, I was looking at the artwork in the "unlockables" section of Mirror's Edge and they had a picture of Faith with a gun and a caption that said the original concept for Faith, she always carried a hand gun. I think that would be really helpful just for plain assistance in gameplay and it keeps consistency to the dangerous and controlling society she lives in. I can't wait for the release of this game whatever you decide to do with it. Great work guys, all the best to you. Take care
i think the idea of having roller blades is bad since it changes the whole game its meant to be a parkour kinda game anyhow im thinking live the story was quite short but with the option of live eg capture the flag tag just basic games like that would make it much more fun and overall more played another suggestion is freeroam this sounds great but instead of having it at the end of the game maybe have it inbetween missions so you could travel to the next mission (like prototype) another idea is money you could get money from finding hidden objects or side missions which you could buy things like smoke bombs or maybe just new clothes or you could purchase new characters that you could play online. The first one was really gd but i hope the second will be even better
You know seeing how much we have all brain stormed here, I would have to render a verdict that the first mirrors edge was just a beta trial to the one they are making now. I mean think about it do you really think that they would forget about some sort of multiplayer feature and include only 9 levels of gameplay when today the average amount of levels are between 15 to 20. Sounds to me like they wanted to see how the first ME went until they wanted to make this one.
Great news!! First of all, stay true to the origin of the game (faith as the main character, lighting/color theme and of course one of the most important factors... MUSIC theme. Loved it...).
The most pleasing thing I find in a game is that the character you control evolves or learns stuff. So if you intend to add new running moves or better yet improve faith's fighting skills, don't give them to us all in the first level. She should learn new moves/skills as you progress threw the game. Maybe if she is stuck in a situation or she is forced to do something she has never done before and from then on you can use the move/skill as you please. That would certainly contribute to the dynamics of the gameplay. I like the idea of an open world, city exploration, but don't make me buy stuff. The world we live in is based on money. I want to run away from that. What you find is what you get, no guns. More drama in the story (Max Payne stile maybe). There are no happy endings =)
An experience system, have it as the runners beginning and you are a different character and new to the group... As you play yo get better andare able to put points into stats like speed, jumping, strength... using guns while free-running? Free roam... I like the rollerblades idea but be able to choose between having them and not... You are faster with them but its harder to steer... Complete customization... More seamless gameplay... More moves... choose your sex...
I think there should be free roam after each mission and as a seperate mode and you should be able to get to ground level when ever you want and create a new character to be a new comer and faith is the trainer If any 1 thinks it any good give thumbs up
I'm not sure if it's just me, but it would be absolutely amazing if they made the sequel free roam, there would be so much more you could get out of the game, and it would be more fun, but the first was still very good, plus if they maybe added multiplayer or co op or something that would be good too. plus don't let go of faith
I would like to see a longer Storyline all thought the First ME was great and id like to see sum multiplayer Cops and runners is a good idea but what about the Freerunning cops in the first ME and there should be a online Freerunning mode like the free roam in Gta Jus u can freerun and the time trials are cool but why not race against people who are online also making your own character would be cool and having Faith be the instructor of it or something along those lines so u could have both male or female
i would like too also play free in the city and you must can see the persons holw buddy and you must can run free on every billding
please if u read this please make that like this that i just said thanks
