According to the portfolio of lighting artist Oscar Carlén, he has been working on both Battlefield 3 and Mirror's Edge 2. Both titles were listed under "2009-present".

Earlier this year Patrick Soderlund, senior vice president at EA Games Europe, told VideoGamer.com: "You will see another Mirror's Edge for sure. It's just a matter of when that time is and what we do with it. We have a small team on it and I’m excited about what we do."

Perhaps Carlén is a part of that small team, although following recent EA cutbacks it's not known if a Mirror's Edge sequel is still in development.

I actually enjoyed Mirrors Edge for the price of £8.99 from shopto.net Free DLC over the PSN made it one of the best buys I have ever done

The DLC looks ace though, I just dont like paying for that kind of thing. If they re-released Mirrors Edge 1 with the DLC and the 2D version that got released on web browsers I would probably grab it. I fear I'm the only one mind you.
