BioWare has said it is working to correct continuity errors found within newly released novel Mass Effect: Deception, with future editions to feature the alterations.

Last month it came to light that the novel, penned by sci-fi author William C. Dietz, and not Drew Karpyshyn (author of the three previous ME books and the first two ME games), feature a number of gaffs such as getting the clothing of Quarians wrong.

"The teams at Del Rey and BioWare would like to extend our sincerest apologies to the Mass Effect fans for any errors and oversights made in the recent novel Mass Effect: Deception," BioWare's Chris Priestly told fans.

"We are currently working on a number of changes that will appear in future editions of the novel.

"We would like to thank all Mass Effect fans for their passion and dedication to this ever-growing world, and assure them that we are listening and taking this matter very seriously."

Mass Effect 3 will be released March 9 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The demo hits February 14 for those eligible or three days later for everyone else.

The first one really was the best - Saren is a good bad guy- after that they're a bit hit and miss.

The comics are not much cop, though funnily enough the free ones are actually pretty good. The latest series - ME Invasion - buck the trend and are worth a look :0)

Phew, nearly pre-ordered this last week. Not sure why Drew isn't on the case this time. Ah well, still not finished the 3rd book yet any way... or ANY of the 8 comics I bought, either.
