Players to embark on a 'suicide mission'.
The Amazon.com listing for Mass Effect 2 has revealed new details on BioWare's upcoming RPG sequel, Mass Effect 2.
The retailer description states: "The second chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy takes you to the darkest reaches of space, where you must uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of humans across many worlds. Prepare yourself for a suicide mission to save mankind. Travel the galaxy to assemble a team of soldiers and combat specialists, and launch an all-out assault on the heart of enemy territory."
The product page also adds that the sequel will feature "stunning graphics and a refined dialogue system", "improvements to the intense, third-person shooter combat" and "deep character customization options" that let players create their own vision of Commander Shepard - which of course was also possible in the first game.
Mass Effect 2 has been announced for release in early 2010 on Xbox 360 and PC.

But seriously, I hope they're able to release a satisfying story after the last one, because there were many story options that could lead over to a sequel: whether you killed Wrex, if you saved the Council or not, who you slept with, etc. It would be cool to have story options in the beginning like there are character classes. If you thought the last game was replayable, imagine if you could choose if Wrex is in the game or not, or the Council, and so on
