UK Video Game Chart: MvC3 misses out on No.1
Call of Duty: Black Ops reclaims the top spot.
Capcom's Marvel vs Capcom 3 has missed out on the UK No.1 spot to Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops, reports GfK ChartTrack.
We'd assumed the race for the top spot would feature Dead Space 2 and last week's No.1 Test Drive Unlimited 2, but didn't factor in the staying power of Black Ops which climbed from No.4 to No.1.
There's little else to report, with the only other major mover being EA's NFS Hot Pursuit, which climbed from No.16 up to No.11.

VideoGamer.com Analysis
Even though we didn't anticipate anything matching the success of Street Fighter IV we had assumed MvC3 would manage to claim the No.1 spot in a week with no other major new release. With Bulletstorm and Killzone 3 hitting on Friday the outlook doesn't look good for Capcom's brawler.

I am stunned and dismayed.

Shame that it didn't get the top spot, but it looks like it won't at all now: Next week's should be interesting though.

But DS2 is seeing similar price slashing with prices of under £25 for new console versions proving a viable business model for remaining relevant beyond release week. Let us hope this becomes the norm!
