Konami and Mercury Steam lift the lid on the hack 'n' slash sequel, currently confirmed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 has been confirmed by Konami and developer Mercury Steam. The reveal came via a gorgeous CGI trailer - which contains a pretty big spoiler if you're yet to finish the first game.
As well as showing Gabriel take on a massive army, the end of the trailer shows our protagonist facing off against Symphony of the Night's Alucard - or at least we think it's Alucard.
No more details on the game have been confirmed other than it's definitely coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Expect more info at E3 next week.

Spoilers from the first game follow:
What does the introduction of Alucard mean? Will he be a playable character, or the only playable character? Given Gabriel's new state, a vampire, perhaps he'll be the enemy or you'll get to play as a bad guy.
Whatever the details are, the CGI trailer clearly showed Gabriel taking on a massive army, which could indicate larger-scale battles than in the first game, as well as a massive enemy similar to the stone titan in the original game.
