The PlayStation Vita saw a huge 157 per cent increase in sales week on week in Japan thanks to the release of Persona 4: The Golden.

Vita sales jumped from 13,383 copies to 34,459 units, no doubt almost entirely down to the release of Atlus' Persona 4 which sold 137,076 copies.

Nintendo's 3DS remains the clear leader with 61,793 units sold.

The software Top 20 also sees a new entry for Lollipop Chainsaw. The PS3 version sold 53,347 copies at N.3, while the Xbox 360 version charted at No.9 with 14,422 copies sold.

Now they only need another 24 mega hits released on a weekly basis to have a good(ish) year! :p

Good news for Vita.

Also perhaps a clear indication to Sony that the right software is crucial in selling hardware.
