Kinect Star Wars release date forced into 2012

Limited edition Star Wars Xbox 360 delayed too.

Kinect Star Wars and the limited edition Xbox 360 Star Wars console will miss their planned holiday 2011 release, presumably now set for 2012.

"Microsoft and LucasArts have elected to move the launch of Kinect Star Wars beyond holiday 2011 to ensure the full potential of this title is realised," a spokesperson told OXM. "This move applies to both the Kinect Star Wars stand-alone game and the Kinect Star Wars Limited Edition Console. We will communicate additional timing information at a later date."

Given the disappointing state of the game at gamescom, it's certainly for the best that Microsoft gives developer Terminal Reality extra time to iron out tracking issues and work on making the whole thing more fun.
