Has reached a combined one million downloads on Xbox LIVE and PSN.

505 Games, in collaboration with 1C Company, today announced that the demo for IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey has reached a combined one million downloads on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 and PSN for PS3.

"One million demo downloads clearly showcases undeniable interest in IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey among gamers," said Adam Kline, president of 505 Games U.S. "With the amount of attention paid to every detail of this title, from environments based on a hybrid of period maps and satellite data to our powerful tangible damage effects engine to audio recorded from vintage aircraft, we're thrilled that so many players are eager to play this year's most authentic World War II flight combat game."

IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds Of Prey will be available in the UK from September 4 for Xbox 360, PS3, DS and PSP.

All you have to do is get past the last tutorial to unlock sim and realistic.
Im assuming that you will have to do the tutorial (3 short missions. Under 5 mins :D) on Arcade and that will unlock Sim and Realistic for the rest of the game.

I did not enjoy the arcade mode one bit and i never got past it due to getting rid of it afther 2min.
"In the full game would you still have to unlock the Sim mode and Realistic?"

Im yet to download this demo, Dirt 2 and WET. From the pictures I have seen it reminds me of Blazing Angels. Which was a good game. I like the Ace Combat series, with great in-depth battles and great storylines.

It sounds very interesting. I'll most probably download the demo later on today when I have finished all the Batman: AA Challenges.

Yes because you were on arcade mode wernt you? You have to unlock Sim mode and Realistic (Sim mode you need a stick for or to turn the sensitivity down on the controllers). :D
