Mysterious disaster game I Am Alive won't be out before April this year, publisher Ubisoft has confirmed.

Earlier this week Ubisoft announced a surprise Q1 2009 release for the game, due out on Xbox 360 and PS3, suggesting it would be out before March.

However, in a hot-off-the-press release schedule update the publisher said: "I Am Alive will require further development time and will now bolster the line-up for 2009-10."

The game will be out some time between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010, Ubisoft's financial year.

Pretty much all we currently know about I Am Alive came from a GamesTM article earlier this month. We'll have more as we get it.

I don't really know much about I Am Alive, anyway, to be honest.

The problem is not the delay of the game, its the sloppyness of announcing a release period for the game and a delay in the same week. Now I don't believe the delay would have come as a complete surprise so why announce the release?

Allegedly, Shigeru Miyamoto once said :

A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.

Wise words.

Loads of games get delayed, what's the issue?

I'm really looking forward to this game.

The Legend of Zelda : The Ocarina of Time didn't exactly suffer from being delayed by several months. I would rather a game gets held back so it's right, than be rushed out for a specific date and be like Fable II, full of bugs that REALLY should not have got through testing.

Yes a bit of a dissapointment. I get edgy around devs when they announce a game and delay it about 4 times.

Sounds vaguely like they did with Haze tbh and we know how that turned out.

i wont be happy if it comes out in 2010, cos thts a real big mistake announcing it for march this year and then sayin: well it could be next year!
