Hitman: Absolution will be released globally for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 20, Square Enix has announced.

In addition, Square Enix has confirmed the Hitman: Sniper Challenge pre-order bonus, the first details of which leaked earlier this week.

Hitman: Sniper Challenge, an exclusive standalone pre-order sniper game, will be given to everyone who pre-orders the full game starting May 15 – August 1 through Steam. The downloadable title is not part of the main game, having been created as a standalone experience to reward fans who pre-order.

From a balcony overlooking a roof-top party, you are tasked with taking out Richard Strong, Jr., CEO of Stallion Armaments, along with his entire staff of bodyguards.

The Kazo TRG sniper rifle can be upgraded and carried over into Hitman: Absolution, whilst an online leaderboard will make it easy for players to compare their sniping abilities.

“Agent 47 is the best in the business so it seemed appropriate to create the best pre-order reward possible for our fans,” said Jon Brooke, brand director of the Hitman Franchise. “Hitman: Sniper Challenge is a way of thanking customers and giving them a taste of Agent 47’s skills from the moment they pre-order the game.”

So Hitman takes the slot left vacant by Capcom’s Resident Evil 6, but coming so late in the year will gamers have any cash left for Agent 47’s latest title?
