505 Games' Zumba Fitness has claimed its ninth week at the top of the All Formats All Prices UK Video Game chart, its sixth week in succession.

The game saw a five per cent increase in sales week on week, enough to see off Ubisoft's heavily advertised Call of Juarez: The Cartel which debuted at No.2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 saw a hefty 45 per cent jump over its debut week, climbing four places to No.3. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean climbed to No.4, followed by Black Ops at No.5 and Dungeon Siege at No.6 - sales up 59 per cent thanks to huge price reductions.

Disney's Cars 2 is new at No.8, while Namco Bandai's Earth Defence Force: Insect Armageddon makes its chart entrance at No.15.

VideoGamer.com Analysis

With only The Sims 3: Town Life Stuff and a pair of Smurfs games hitting stores on Friday, it's almost certain Zumba Fitness will claim another week at No.1 this time next week. Increased advertising for the Captain America movie should also help SEGA's video game bounce back up the chart.

There's also the possibility that continued price promotions of Call of Juarez: The Cartel, coupled with a strong TV presence, will see it continue to ride high.

I'm hoping that with Tesco stocking eDF IA at a low price and on their shelves that people will make an impulse purchase.

I hold my hand up and say I own Zumba (Kinect version). Blame the wife... :)

I just wish they would release some kind of figures to go along with the positions. It's all very well saying that Zumba had a 5% increase, but that could theoretically just mean 5 extra sales. And, the difference between being 1st and 2nd could be anything from 1 to 100,000 copies.

Would of been nice to see EDF:IA in the top 10, but it was expected not to. 15 however is still a good place within the charts with no advertising campaign. I suppose it will heavily rely on word of mouth via the gaming community as its main source of advertising for the game.

I easily recommend the game as from playing it yesterday. I was simply having fun straight away! Nice co-op session with CheekyLee & Endless last night (very late one as well!), and the last mission will prove to be a bugger!
