Halo Wars announced for Xbox 360

Ensemble Studios is working on an RTS set in the Halo universe.

To wrap up Microsoft's X06 media briefing Halo was once again used to wet the appetite of gamers all over the world, but unlike at E3, this time it wasn't Halo 3. Ensemble Studios, creators of the Age of Empires series of PC RTS titles, are working on Halo Wars, an Xbox 360 exclusive RTS.

In Halo Wars, the player will be in command of human UNSC armies as they embark on mankind's first war with the Covenant. All that's been seen so far is a brief CG trailer, but we'll bring you more information as it's released over the coming months.
