Halo: Reach, the last Halo title from series creator Bungie, will run at a higher resolution than Halo 3, executive producer Joe Tung has told VideoGamer.com.

Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST each ran at a native resolution of 1152×640, which was then upscaled to 720p.

Asked if Halo: Reach will be natively 720p, Tung said: "Reach is a greater resolution than Halo 3."

Pushed to clarify what that meant, he replied: "Exactly what I said."

So that's higher than we've had previously, but not confirmation of native 720p.

Check out our full interview with Bungie right here.

Halo: Reach is scheduled for release on September 14, 2010, only for Xbox 360.

It's simple there Skippy, by not saying its 720p he means it sub par. It is as crystal as reading between the lines.

As far as resolutions go, it isnt as important as most lead you to believe. Higher resolutions like 1080p, don't even play a factor until you get into bigger screen sizes like 55 inches and up. I run my games in 720p on my Samsung 32 incher, and 1080p on my Sony 55 inch Bravia. Thats only with XBOX 360, PS3 scales games to thier native res auto.

Point is XBOX 360 has a great upscaler in it, so games will look best adjusted to you display. Truth is most games truly run at 720p or just a little below, so just a tad loss in res to make a faster game is cool whip cream, that spreads like butter. Sometimes fast moving games get better framerates at lower res. The diffrence overall is marginal at best.

I also noticed a diffrence when using a pc monitor, in some ways it can give you the best image quality. I use a 1080p HP monitor for travel and its beautiful. Pc monitors have better response time. They are cheaper too.

650p? Pointless saying this if he can't make it crystal clear with what he is saying.
