Halo Studio hiring for next-gen software technology
Successful candidate will help develop the engine that will power future experiences for the next generation of gaming platforms.
A Microsoft job listing posted on August 21, 2008 for the position of Program Manager at Halo Studio, has revealed Microsoft's plans to create a new engine that will "power future experiences for the next generation of gaming platforms".
"Microsoft's new Halo Studio team is looking for a technical and highly talented program manager to work with an engineering team to help define the next generation of gaming software technology. As part of a next generation team, you'll be instrumental in helping to lead the development of the engine that will power future experiences for the next generation of gaming platforms," states the job description.
No platform or game specific information is included in the job listing, but given it's a position at Halo Studio it's assumed we're dealing with a new entry in the Halo video game series for a platform that will succeed the Xbox 360.
Late last month it was revealed that Corrinne Yu, director of technology at Gearbox, had accepted the position of principle (lead) engine architect of Halo Franchise Team at Microsoft. The developer's new role will see her leading the team that is building the engines and games for future Halo's on Xbox and PC at Microsoft.
