US eSports organiser Major League Gaming has announced Halo 4 will feature in its Fall Championships ahead of the game's release on November 6.
The event takes place in Dallas, Texas from November 2-4. Other games in the MLG's Fall Season include League of Legends, StarCraft II, Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur V.
Nothing else about the tournament was announced, but an MLG press release promised that "prize money, format, the number of teams, schedule, competitor passes and more" would be revealed in the coming weeks.
The organiser found itself in a tricky spot last week when it disqualified the winner and runner-up of its League of Legends Summer Championship due to 'collusion'.
Shooter rival Call of Duty: Black Ops II has pledged to support eSports via a new spectator mode and caster system built into the game itself.
Halo 4 will be released on November 6 2012.
