Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 console in September

New console to feature a Spartan green and gold finish.

With the anticipation of Halo 3 now at fever pitch levels, Microsoft is looking to capitalise on this fan excitement with the release of the Halo 3 Special Edition Console.

Arriving later this year, the Halo 3 console will feature an authentic Spartan green and gold finish with matching wireless controller, 20GB hard drive, headset, Play & Charge kit and exclusive Halo 3 Gamer Pics and Theme available via Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

The Special Edition console is scheduled for release in September. Microsoft hasn't yet announced the console's retail price.
