Major Nelson reports that for the week of September 22, 2008 it's Halo 3 which reigns supreme in the Xbox LIVE popularity chart. The game has been in a titanic battle with Activation's Call of Duty 4 and it appears the recent hype surrounding Bungie's Halo 3 campaign expansion has given Halo 3 a helping hand.

Following Halo 3 and CoD4 is GTA 4, Gears of War, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Madden NFL 09, Guitar Hero III, Rock Band 2, Rock Band and Duke Nukem 3D. 3D Realms' classic FPS also manages to top the Xbox LIVE Arcade sales chart, ahead of Castle Crashers, Feeding Frenzy 2 and Braid.

Duke Nukem 3D is available now priced 800 MS Points.
