Halo 3: ODST sales surpass 3 million

Same feat took Halo 3 just 12 days.

Speaking at the BMO Capital Markets conference in New York, Microsoft's COO of interactive entertainment Dennis Durkin revealed that Halo 3: ODST had sold over three million copies since its September 22, 2009 release.

Given that the game sold 1.5 million units in September and 271,000 units in October in the US, as reported by the NPD Group, it's assumed the three million figure represents worldwide sales for the game.

It took Halo 3 just 12 days to sell three million units.
