Includes rock anthem "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield and an R.E.M. Track Pack.
Activision has today announced its plans for launch week downloadable content for upcoming virtual band sequel, Guitar Hero World Tour on Xbox 360 and PS3.
Available at the launch of World Tour will be the Classic Rock Track Pack, offering the anthems "Rock and Roll Band" by Boston, "Hot Blooded" by Foreigner and "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield.
Joining the Classic Rock Track Pack at launch will be "No Rain" by alternative rock group Blind Melon. The breakthrough single off the band's quadruple platinum, self-titled album reached No. 1 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock and U.S. Modern Rock charts.
Also confirmed for launch week, but as a two-week Xbox 360 exclusive starting October 30, is the R.E.M. Track Pack. This will feature three songs from the band's Accelerate album: "Horse to Water," "Man-Sized Wreath" and "Supernatural Superserious."
Additionally Guitar Hero World Tour players will be able to download original compositions by Ted Nugent and Zakk Wylde which have been designed specifically for Guitar Hero World Tour's Guitar Duels.
Guitar Hero World Tour is scheduled for release in November for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PS2.

Boston! W00p
Quite who would buy DLC at launch I don't know, with 85 other songs to play first. The 2 week exclusivity seems sort of pointless really.
