Grand Theft Auto 5 will be released in Japan on October 10, Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has revealed.

This means the game will hit Japanese stores only one month after its September 17 launch in Europe and North America. GTA 4 launched in the majority of territories on April 29, 2008, but faced a six month wait before finally arriving in Japan on October 30, 2008.

Capcom distributed GTA 4 in Japan, but its not yet known if the Japanese firm will handle GTA 5.

Elsewhere in the Famitsu article it was revealed (via a crude translation) that players will be able to customise their dog Chop with accessories such as collars, but you’ll need to keep track of your pooch as it will be possible to lose him.
