Grand Theft Auto 5's Stimulus Package - the update that offers GTA Online players a $500,000 cash injection - has been delayed until next week.

In an update provided to this afternoon, Rockstar said:

"Currently, we expect the next title update (1.05) addressing player progress loss issues to be available sometime early next week. Following that, we hope to deliver everyone’s GTA$ Stimulus Package before the end of next week.

"A big thank you to GTA Online players worldwide for your continued patience and understanding and we will continue to keep you all updated."

The Stimulus Package has already seen numerous delays, having originally been due to launch last month.

I look forward to the same message next week. The DLC might make it interesting again, but it's sort of gone past a point where it's interesting and I feel like I'm mainly just grinding for more rewards now. The missions are ridiculously unbalanced. Coming last in a race can be a much better use of your time than winning a deathmatch. Sometimes the missions are worth a lot and sometimes they're not, it all feels a bit arbitrary and unbalanced.

A lot of people on level 100 plus etc have got there by doing the "criminal records" or "down the drain" loop races over and over and over. There's fun to be had but it still suffers a lot of the tedium that puts me off online games.

Exactly the same for me but I'm waiting for the DLC for it. I have always found Rockstar's online terrible.

I'm not really waiting for the stimulus package anymore because I think I've squeezed all the fun out of online that I can. There's still a structure of sorts to follow for the completeists but I'm at the stage where the rewards aren't enough for the work required.

I might give it a couple of blasts now and again for the online achievements but that's really it, time for me to move on (or backwards into my backlog).
