We'll be sticking to our new format. There will be plenty of content to read, though, as said in this story. We'll have our 300 word review, plus at least 3 BIG features when the embargo lifts.

In terms of content, we won't have less than anywhere else.

I'm with FM here 100%. Borderlands 2 is a different game now Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep exists - it was brilliant before but TTAODK is just genius. Lots of games mature over time and someone buying a game today (like lotsa of us do) that's a year or so old will find it hard getting a genuine review of the actual product that is out there.

In other news, I like the short articles as it means I read them and I *love* the long vids as they keep me and my daughter entertained for ages. Keep up the good work Team VG.

GTA Online is not a part of GTA V. I assume it will be reviewed as a separate entity.

Reviewing GTA V is going to be a bit tricky considering the online mode isn't out until October 1st, when it comes to scoring do they have to stipulate that the score is for what you get Day 1 or do they have to adjust for anticipated content further down the line that could completely change perceptions? Or have reviewers already been given time with the online mode for review purposes so they can work it into launch day reviews?

In a more general sense, games these days morph over longer periods of time; Diablo III is now an incredibly different game to the one that first launched, Gearbox recently noted that Borderlands 2 had more player activity 1 year on from launch than it did at launch, Borderlands itself couldn't really be called complete until all 4 DLCs were added and nobody could really have foreseen how great that title as a whole would then be.

I think I've mentioned it before but I still think we need a review score system that's capable of reflecting games as they currently are rather than what we get day one, otherwise they just become a window into the past rather than a reflection of the present. How can review scores update in real-time as games do? I dunno, but maybe it's something someone can eventually find a solution for.

I don't trust you about the feedback thing, I do trust you about everything else you've said.

It's not always video content, it's often extra written articles.

The standard is still high in my opinion. And the term jounalism includes written, audio and visual forms.

Kudos to you Bloodstorm because at least you keep your feedback relatively contructive and civil, even if I don't see things the same way as you. And trust me, the team care about feedback but they also care about seeing their own ideas through since they really believe in them.

Not all of us watch the video content and i really don't have time to watch a stretched out video review for (what i imagine) 20 minutes.

I used to come here for the high standard (for a gaming site) journalism and not video content.

Anyway, that's the last time i bring it up, i know no one in the upper echelons are caring so i'll stop it.

Goodness that's bitchy, and it's not even a YouTube comment.

Looking forward to you guys and your take on the game. I'm expecting brilliant fun whatever the end result.

Oh... well... when you put it like that I guess we've got nothing to worry about then.

I wish the video reviews were only 300 seconds long and had a maximum of 300 words. Unfortunately VG would then need to employ a video editor with literary skills greater than that of a chihuahua, obviously.

Cool, i'm happy with that.

@bloodstorm.. I really wouldnt worry about the review being only 300 words, as they have said there will be other articles along side it so we will still get whatever information we need and then some.

Are you guys going to do a comparison between the PS3 and the 360 version?

Seems strange to leave it so late for the embargo to be lifted. I'd have thought Rockstar would have let reviews go up over the weekend to peak hype.

Are you guys going to be using your new format to review this game as well.
I do like the new format and prefer it to your old style but i think you may struggle with this game, i bet there will tons of stuff to get through.
