Grand Theft Auto Online, the official multiplayer mode for GTA 5, will be revealed today at 3pm - and you can watch the trailer right here on VideoGamer.com.

We were given a few seconds of GTA Online footage back in July with the release of "An Introduction to the World of GTA 5". The video ended with the playable character standing in an apartment block overlooking Los Santos, as planes, helicopters and cars are seen through the window.

GTA 5 launches on September 17 for Xbox 360 and PS3.

this game officially now has 2 full games in it, each well worth the £40 on their own. gta with a story, and a gta mmo.
im with alphafour on this, nothing next gen has me anywhere near as excited as gtav does right now, not even destiny.

Don't know about you guys.... but for me GTA V looks much more exciting than all of next-gen put (X1, PS4 and Wii U) put together.

Rockstar is managing to innovate and bring amazing experiences to current-gen when the people making games for next-gen just seem to coasting along and doing the bear minimum.

Sounds lame I know.. but I'm really not all that excited for next-gen at this stage. Perhaps Gamescom will show me something to really whet my appetite but I won't hold my breath. I get the feeling that this 'amazing exclusive' Microsoft has under wraps will just be another 'oh yeah... meh' event.

I got the same vibe from that as I did from Red Dead Redemption multiplayer. Not sure how a plane will fit in my garage but I'm quite happy to buy the game Day 1 to try and find out.

Well... that looked good! I like the fact you can buy different places and garages to fill (a la TDU and TDU2) - plus it looks like that lighthouse *might just* fall under that category! ^_^ I wonder if it will feature a way to 'store' the pads of those on your friends lists (updating whenever they next log-in)...? That would be mindblowing if so.

Hope the character customisation is a lot more extensive than IV. And I would really like to see casinos make an appearance, given the focus on money. Otherwise - that's me, done. Media blackout from here on out.

I presume the 'ongoing development' might just equate to new activities and mission types brought in via Episodes (a la GTA 4) - which again is something that makes a lot of sense.
