Rockstar is developing a next-gen title due for release before the end of March 2015, parent company Take-Two has revealed.

Speaking during the company's financial results this evening, CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed that Rockstar is "hard at work on their upcoming line-up and we're excited about what they have in store for the new generation of systems this fiscal year."

Zelnick added that he expects Rockstar titles to account for 45 per cent of Take-Two's total revenue this financial year.

Take-Two chose not to confirm whether Rockstar would be at E3 next month when asked during the call's Q&A session.

Rockstar has yet to formally announce its next title, although it's widely rumoured to be working on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of Grand Theft Auto 5. Could this be it?

More on Take-Two's unannounced titles will be revealed in "the coming months", the firm says.

I wonder how they would handle Multiplayer on Ps4/Xbone ports of GTA V. By which I mean It would surely have to be a separate entity, given they would be making quite a lot of changes to take advantage of the new hardware.

My only concern would be it could cause a bit of a divide; then again the user base of GTAO has declined significantly so perhaps that'd be exactly the kind of boost they need to keep it going?

If it is "GTA V: next gen" I hope it's also for the PC, otherwise that's just another big slap in the faces from Rockstar / Take Two to PC gamers.

I was hoping for it to be released this year on ps4. Announcement at E3 and on sale a month or two later. Gutted theres still no confirmation on this.

A GTA-V next-gen release would probably help fuel their online mode and get people interested so I'd be surprised if they didn't make one, seems dumb not too. However they still kind of need to finish the online, there's clearly so much they wanted to add thats still not there; not including heists of course. If not, a new Bully would be amazing!
