Grand Theft Auto Online's High Life update will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next Tuesday, May 13, Rockstar has announced.

The free update introduces the option for players to purchase multiple properties and features brand new high-end apartments at locations such as Eclipse Towers and Richards Majestics. It'll also include four new vehicles - the Enus Huntley S SUV, Dewbauchee Massacro sports car, Pegassi Zentorno supercar and Dinka Thrust motorcycle – and a brand new weapon, the Bullpup Rifle.

New clothing options, vehicle horns, celebrations and jobs are featured, too, as is the option to enter races with collisions disabled.

The update will be applied automatically once it goes live next week. Further DLC, including new single-player content, is expected to release later this year.

Being able to disable collisions is going to ruin the racing part of the game. The only reason collisions are so bad in the first place is because of the catchup option.

Catchup restricts your cars power more and more the closer you get to 1st place so the car behind you will always have a little more power and be able to catchup. Why people use this blows my mind.

If catchup is on I know I will ram anyone and everyone because that is the only way to gain any kind of lead. Catchup should always be off and traffic on. Traffic can help slow down lead cars and give the drivers in the back an opportunity to catchup.

When people play in free mode catchup is OFF Traffic is ON Wanted Levels are ON so why not set the races up the same way. Its almost like everyone wants to rank up as easy as possible. Doesn't that kind of make having a high rank useless? The whole point of the rank is to show who has skills and who doesn't. I'm ranked 301 absolutely no cheating to achieve that rank, took me 5 months. Earned from 98% racing. I do not play with friends and I am not in a crew, never have been and never will be.

Catchup ON with collisions disabled means that every ones car is the same speed and nobody will be able to get ahead of anyone else so if you win its all luck and will have nothing to do with skill.

The settings should be permanently placed like this:
Traffic ON Wanted Levels ON Custom Vehicles ON Catchup OFF Slipstream ON

As long as the settings are like that the race is totally fair and will take more skill than luck to win. I have raced over 2500 races. It is the only part of the game I like. All the other modes I have done no more than 5 times and Capture Mode I have never tried. Racing gives me the most control and the best payouts unless its down the drain or criminal records, those two tracks just suck.
