First GRID 2 gameplay looks amazing

The first gameplay footage of Codemasters' GRID 2, the sequel to Race Driver: GRID, has been released... and it looks stunning.

Two videos are available to view. The first takes you on a high-octane chase on the California coast in a head-to-head, point-to-point duel between a contemporary Boss Mustang and a classic Mustang Mach 1.

The second is a street racing stage in Chicago, where muscle cars, including the Camaro SS, Z06 Corvette and Boss Mustang, charge through skyscraper-lined streets and chase through tunnels.

GRID 2 will be released next summer for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Mmm I just played some pre-alpha code at the Eurogamer Expo and I really didn't like it. The handling is too arcadey, and the slightest bump will send you spinning, which sucks when the AI wants to just drive into you, and prevent you from cornering properly.

Another racer that's not PGR :(

Other than the original NFS: Underground on PC, Grid has been the only racing game i've properly got into... this one looks great!

Wow, Looks super great. I must admit i didn't give much thought to grid 2's release but after seeing them videos i'm up for a day one purchase. Amazing vids
