Given M rating and contains "partial nudity", "strong language" and "strong sexual content".

Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV has been successfully rated by the ESRB and has been awarded an M rating. Reasons for the M rating include "Partial Nudity", "Strong Language", "Strong Sexual Content", "Use of Drugs and Alcohol", "Blood" and "Intense Violence".

Following controversy with GTA San Andreas "Hot Coffee", we're sure there'll be plenty of people going through the released game with a fine comb, hopefully finding nothing to distract from what will surely be a game of the year contender.

Grand Theft Auto IV is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 29.

yea M seems right, i just hate how i'm not 17 yet and i still need my mommy to buy the game for me!!!

To get a 16 rating they'd have to relabel it 'Viva Pinata' and lie a lot.

i would give it an 18+ cert, maybe 16+ (hope it comes out as 16+ in EU :D *crosses fingers*)
