GTA 4 has sold 11 million units to retailers

8.5 million units sold through to consumers as of May 21, 2008.

Overnight Take-Two has announced financial results for its second quarter ended April 30, 2008. Included is up-to-date sales data for Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV which was released on Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 29, 2008.

As of May 31, 2008 over 11 million units of GTA 4 had been sold to retailers, approximately 8.5 million of which are said to be in the hands of consumers.

The title surpassed all-time entertainment records for day one and week one sales, with approximately 6 million units sold through globally in the first week - an estimated retail value of more than $500 million.
