Massive sales of Rockstar Games' GTA 4 ensured retail sales in the UK only fell 0.2% in April.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Grand Theft Auto IV, Rockstar Games' critically acclaimed video game, is doing amazing things for the UK economy.
A record setting start for the game has ensured retail sales in the UK fell by only 0.2% in April, according to the UK's Office for National Statistics. Economists had estimated that the figure would be closer to 0.5%.
With so much pre-release hype it was easy to predict blockbuster sales for GTA 4, but head over to VideoGamer.com's review to see why the game's success has been well deserved.
