Terminal Reality has responded to rumours that the studio has been shut down, telling that while it cannot confirm or deny whether the studio had closed, it was likely that the media had "already figured everything out".

Responding to a message sent to the studio's official Facebook page, which it had been using as a temporary replacement for its website, an anonymous Terminal Reality employee told us:

"The person who was responsible for the Facebook page was let go. I am not able to confirm or deny any information at this time, but I bet you have already figured everything out."

It isn't clear which member of the team sent the message or whether they are still employed by the studio. However, their message suggests that the developer has indeed closed.

Rumours of Terminal Reality's closure first appeared on Thursday after a message from an ex-employee claimed that the studio appeared "to have finally shut down".

"I left there when I saw things going downhill," read the message, "but I have always kept up with them and hoped for the best. Now that they're gone, I'm just kind of feeling nostalgic it seems."

Terminal Reality was founded in 1994 and was perhaps best known for its work on 2002's BloodRayne. It later went on to develop numerous other titles, including Ghostbusters: The Video Game, Kinect Star Wars and The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.

Yeah I'm still not over that one tbh, LOVED the TDU series. Can't say I give a monkey's for anything that Terminal Reality have made though, sadly.

Closed monday morning.

The video game industry is terrible for closing without telling employees until the final minute.
