Bad news for anyone still hoping for more Geometry Wars. Bizarre Creations is well aware of the public demand, but they'd rather leave the franchise alone.

"It's just a great thing having titles that people love, that they associate with our studio - and Geometry Wars is one of them," said level designer Peter Collier. "It's very close to a lot of fans' hearts. I guess it's just one of those things, that it's a great and very proud feeling having something that the fans adore so much, but we don't want to over-saturate it by carrying on with it. It's may be something that we keep as something we love, and move on to other things, you know?"

When we pushed further, asking if there was even the slimmest of hopes that the shape-based shooter would return, Collier gave us the familiar 'never-say-never' line:

"There's nothing on the current horizon, but we can't rule anything out."

In the meantime, Bizarre's "other things" will primarily consist of Bloodstone - the new James Bond game. Collier himself was giving a presentation on the game at a showcase event in London today, alongside Eurocom's GoldenEye remake. We'll be running previews of both games later this week.
