Epic has no new games coming this year

No surprise release for Gears 3 or Shadow Complex 2 then.

Gears of War 2 was released in November 2008, so there's obviously growing expectation that a third title in the series will be revealed soon. Sadly, even if the game is shown at E3 2010, Epic Games vice president Mark Rein has confirmed it won't be released this year.

"We don't have any games coming out in 2010," Rein told G4 at GDC last week, "so from a games standpoint, it's more about our customers' games."

Epic's next release could well be the People Can Fly developed shooter for EA, currently expected early in 2011.
