Epic Games is developing an unannounced "triple-A shooter", founder Tim Sweeney has revealed - possibly dropping a hint towards a next-gen Gears of War.
Sweeney delivered the news during a talk at Develop earlier today (reported by Eurogamer), confirming that the new game was in development alongside 'Minecraft meets Left 4 Dead' title Fortnite and other "really tiny projects".
The news follows last week's report that Epic is currently developing a "competitive online action game... that doesn't fit easily into some existing genre".
It isn't clear whether Sweeney is referring to the same title.
Epic has previously developed both the Gears of War and Unreal Tournament series of titles. Its next title, Fortnite, is expected this year but is without a firm release date.
