It would appear that Epic Games has cryptically announced that Gears of War 2 will be released on November 9.
A new splash page on the game's official website features a bunch of dog tags, one of which features the numbers 033-116-117-126-071. It didn't take long for fans to figure out that these numbers when converted to characters using the Octal ASCII table translate to ESC-N-O-V-9. Escape November 9.
We're almost certain the release date will be officially confirmed at E3 next week during Microsoft's press conference.
