Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Recommendation of the Week: Rock Band, Xbox 360
It's been a long time coming to Europe - even longer for non-Xbox 360 gamers - but Rock Band is finally here and it includes a whopping price tag. The whole set - drums, guitar, microphone and game - could set you back as much as £180.

There's no denying that you'll get plenty of value from your investment though, with there being nothing else currently available that can match the experience of being part of a virtual rock band with your mates. It seems likely Activision's Guitar Hero IV will be offering something similar, but for now Rock Band is certainly where it's at.

In addition to the 58 songs seen in the North American release the Euro version will include a selection of tracks tailored to its audience. These bump the track list to 67 and include songs from Oasis and Blur.

Also out this week
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, PC: There's a lot of hype surrounding Funcom's ambitious MMO and from our extensive time with the game over recent months it certainly seems worthy of the attention. It looks spectacular for an MMO - even without DX10 - and with initial shipments to retailers of around 700,000 it could well become one of the premier MMO titles.

Haze, PS3: Ubisoft and Free Radical's delayed FPS is finally hitting stores this Friday and carries quite heavy expectations on its back. As a PS3 exclusive the game has developed a lot of hype and PS3 owners are desperate for the game to be great in order to hold it as one-up over Xbox 360 gamers. Look out for our full verdict this Friday.
