Hardware limitations the reason for no Fracture on Nintendo's console.

Even though the Wii has seen a huge amount of success and currently leads the console war by a large margin, its hardware limitations do mean that it often misses out on the graphically rich games found on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com in London last week, LucasArts assistant producer Jeffrey Gullett confirmed what we already kind of knew about the reason behind no Fracture on Wii.

When asked directly if a Wii version of Fracture was ever considered Gullet said: "No, when it comes to the Wii, because literally the Wii does not have the processing power that would be required to do a game like this."

So there you have it Wii owners. If you want some terrain deforming action, you're going to have to consider buying an Xbox 360 or PS3.

There are gamecube games with terrain deforming such as Doshin The Giant, so it's not fair to say that the mentioned effect couldn't be produced in a Wii game in any form.

Yet again, another lazy developer. We all know the Wii isn't as graphically able as it's counterparts, however it is twice as powerful (if not more so, due to it's architecture) than a gamecube...So my question is- Why don't I see games that look twice as good as Gamecube games? Maybe if they (developers) spent a little more on R&D for an engine they could produce this game. But, it's all about economic cost vs. benefit, not what we gamers want...blah!!
