Forza 3 sales exceed 1 million in first month

Microsoft and Turn 10 have announced that Xbox 360 racing game Forza Motorsport 3 has sold more than one million units worldwide.

The Forza community has collectively logged over 6.6 million man hours playing online in more than 64 million connected sessions while driving over 590 million miles in the game to date.

Microsoft also announced the release of the Hot Holidays Car Pack, available now on Xbox LIVE Marketplace priced 400 MS Points.

The Hot Holidays Car Pack features some of the world’s most anticipated super cars and purpose-built race cars of 2009 and 2010:

2010 Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss
2010 Lamborghini LP6700-4 SV
2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo
2010 Ferrari 458 Italia
2010 Jaguar XFR
2010 Audi S4

Forza fans can also expect a further car pack on January 12, 2010. Released to coincide with the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, this new pack will add more of the latest and greatest cars to Forza Motorsport 3's roster.

My Forza 3 came bundled with my replacement XBox 360 Arcade (my Pro suffered 2 RRODs in warranty then the disc drive died, figured an Arcade which I could slap my 20GB HDD onto was a better long term investment than a £90 repair bill).

Not being a petrol head I'm not really excited about new cars as DLC, I reckon in any racing game I only ever really tweak around with about 30-40 cars total and Forza 3 as it is has about 400 or so already.
