Microsoft has re-launched the official Forza 2 website and added some new exciting features to the upcoming Xbox 360 racer.

Tied to the game and website is a whole community featuring online auctions, tournaments and in-game picture sharing.

The auction is pretty much what you would expect, offering players the ability to buy and sell in-game customised cars. Sellers will be able to set the price, duration of auction, instant buy price and even highlight your auction if you have money to do so. It's essentially a specialised version of other popular auction sites for Forza 2.

The new auction house will enable skilled car tuners and artists to earn in-game wealth selling their work online, and with the ability to hide car setups a skilled tuner could make a killing.

How the tournaments will work is still pretty sketchy right now but the basic principles are there. Players will sign up for tournaments and can then keep an eye on progress via the game or website. Some tournaments will feature sponsors and as such will include prizes to compete for.

Forza 2 will even enable gamers to download photos from the in-game Photo Mode. A press of a button gives players access to all their photos and the ability to share them with other members of the online community.

It's all sounding rather good. Forza Motorsport 2 will be released only on Xbox 360 across North America and Europe in May.
