A demonstration of the game at the Tokyo Game Show has confirmed that it will not be released in 2006.
Although Microsoft has never attached Forza 2 to a specific release date, it had been expected to arrive at the end of the year. At the Games Convention in Leipzig last month the game was said to be arriving in the winter, which opened the door for a 2007 release.
It's now been confirmed that the game won't be shipping in 2006, and instead should arrive at some time in Q1 2007. Reports from Japan put the game at 60% complete, so there appears to be a lot still to be completed.
Expect an official announcement from Microsoft at X06 later this month.
