Call of Duty: Ghosts was the “most unwanted” game of Christmas 2014, according to statistics revealed by trade-in site Music Magpie.

43,264 copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts were traded-in on the site over Christmas Day and Boxing Day, with GTA 5 coming in just below at 42,907.

FIFA 14, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and GTA 4 also made the top five games sold to the site during the Christmas period.

Of course, the stats don’t necessarily mean that the copies were ‘unwanted gifts’ as the site suggests, but more likely games traded in after players received the latest versions.

Xbox 360, meanwhile, was the most traded-in console, with 31,443 consoles sold to the site over the two-day period.
