In what universe will the standard edition of FIFA 12 cost £55?

Tesco will almost definitely sell this at launch for £25

Supermarkets always have good launch day prices for titles like Fifa... I'll just pick it up at one of them instead.

So, my choices are :

1.) Pre-order this one in order to keep up with the hardcore FIFA crowd and lose every game I play online. £45 + A stream of DLC + Sadness

2.) Take advantage of one of the launch day bargain prices in the supermarkets, not bother with the "Panini Stickers" monthly add-ons, and play against other likeminded individuals with the potential to actually win once in a while. £25-£30 + Fun

Yeah, I'll stick with 2.

Why do publishers strike these exclusive deals with game retailers and then complain when said retailers push pre-owned sales, btw? Do EA really think that GAME and Gamestation are not going to stock FIFA 12 or give it a prominent position in the shop?

The EA sports yearly rip-off gets off to a fine start then by charging more for less. Sureley a 2yr dev time and £50 price tag would be more benificial than dropping the game to £25 every xmas
