You can tell we're entering the crazy season as four 8/10 or higher scoring games are released this week. Pick of the bunch is the superb ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection for PS3, packing two of the most important games of all time into one lovely high definition set. The big sales winner for the week will undoubtedly be the excellent and very different FIFA 12, with its Tactical Defending likely to rub a few people the wrong way. PS3 owners finally get to experience Child of Eden, with the Sony console version offering 3D visuals and Move support, while PC gamers can get their hands on the slightly delayed Driver San Francisco.

ICO & Shadow Of The Colossus HD Collection - PS3
FIFA 12 - Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, PSP, and PC
Child of Eden - PS3
Driver: San Francisco - PC

Worth a look

We don't really know if these are going to be great or terrible, but X-Men: Destiny has shown some promise, while Aliens: Infestation appears to be an impressive looking side-scrolling action game.

X-Men: Destiny - Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS
Aliens: Infestation - DS

And the rest...

A Game Of Thrones: Genesis - PC
Raiden Fighters Aces - Xbox 360
We Sing: UK Hits - Wii
Angler's Club: Ultimate Bass Fishing 3D - 3DS
Dance! It's Your Stage - Wii, PS3 and PC

That's usually a good sign that the publisher has no faith in the game!

We haven't got a copy in yet so I wouldn't expect to see one this week.

Manager of Gamestation Exmouth heard it from the Sony rep, so you can take it or leave it.

Me? I'm not taking any chances.

I didn't think X-Men: Destiny was coming out until next year - just shows how little marketing the title has had. It's being pushed out to try and pry cash out of gamers before the onslaught of Triple-A title hits.

X-Men Destiny out this week... Man I did not know this. I'm interested in the game, as I heard you can make your own mutant and shape the charater into what you want. Maybe false, but I will be awaiting the reviews for this one.

VG to get a review up sometime this week or seeable future?

I never like labelling some games as 'wank' before their release, but X-Men Destiny is looking pretty bad from the previews I've seen and the gameplay footage I got to see at the Gamefest in Birmingham NEC. Judging by the faces of some of the people playing the demo pods, it wasn't a pleasant experience. I really would love to see a decent X-men game this gen of consoles. So far the best ones are probably Wolverine or MvC3, but I'd love to see Sucker Punch doing their InFamous thing with the Marvel license. Although, it could backfire and damage their reputation. Ho-hum

ICO & SOTC for me this week. Rumours are that it will be in short supply with a limited run.
